Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana would be ‘perfect’ for Manchester City if he leaves Anfield this summer, the Premier League champions’ former defender Danny Mills has claimed.
Lallana is allegedly keen on departing Merseyside when the season comes to an end having fallen out of favour under Jurgen Klopp, due to a couple of injury-ravaged seasons.

Lallana’s time at Liverpool appears to be coming to an end
The former Southampton man has started only five Premier League games this term, and he’s clearly well down the pecking order.
It was reported last week that the 31-year-old could be keen on a return to St Mary’s were Saints to show interest in him, but Mills believes Lallana could make a step up this season rather than dropping down the Premier League table.
The former Man City, Leeds and England defender expects Liverpool to want to keep Lallana, but if he pushes for a transfer then it should be Pep Guardiola who swoops for him.

Lallana, who joined Liverpool in 2014, has a contract running until next summer with the option of a further year. The Reds are not expected to do any major business this summer after finishing second in the Premier League and reaching the Champions League final, though they could allow Lallana to go to fund the signing of another creative midfielder to provide cover and competition for first-choice attackers Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
