Brendan Rodgers believes Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola thrives off the pressure of the Premier League title race.
Liverpool̢۪s dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle on Saturday means City need to beat Leicester to return to the top-flight summit on Monday, with commentary live on talkSPORT.
Rodgers knows about the pressure of a title race all too well after finishing second with Liverpool in 2014.
The Leicester boss said: “When you’re at that level it’s a positive pressure. Everyone sees pressure as negative but what you do is you work it so it’s a positive.
“You know when you’re at Man City or when I was at Liverpool or Celtic, there are players when they play against you they go at it that extra 10-15 per cent, so every game is a cup final feeling.
“That’s what you want and that’s what it’s like every game. Which is absolutely fantastic and that’s what you want. That’s when you put your work in during the week.
“What you learn with experience is you learn to regulate the pressure. You have to have the filter in there that regulates it so that it doesn’t swamp you, because it could do.
“But when you have a passion for your work and you love it as well, you’re better off inside knowing how you feel than outside feeling comfortable.
“You’d rather be in there, trying to be better and trying to improve knowing that at times there is absolutely no question that you are going to fail, and you accept that.”
Guardiola was full of praise for his Rodgers, who has won five of his first eight matches at the King Power Stadium.
He said: â€Å“I think Brendan shows his incredible quality as a manager, by the fact that in just two months they are playing the way he wants to play.

“Everyone knows their position, the movements are well coordinated and they have incredible quality up front. They have the people in front, and (Harvey) Barnes, (Demarai) Gray, (James) Maddison, (Marc) Albrighton are so fast. They have incredible quality.
“I saw three games and I was really impressed with the way they played. The players know it will be an incredible task for us but, of course, it’s already a final for us.
“And the fact that it’s the last game at home, hopefully people will come and help us and we do what we have to do, which is to win our game.”
