Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt has revealed there is no deal in place for Barcelona to sign him.
In addition to the the LaLiga champions, the 19-year-old’s excellent season has seen him linked with Juventus, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Liverpool.
De Ligt is on course to captain Ajax to a first Eredivisie title in five years as they lead PSV by three points with one game to go.
Barcelona, who have already signed Frenkie De Jong from the Dutch giants, are favourites to sign the £75million-rated defender this summer, but when asked about Barca’s interest, De Ligt said: “I don’t know yet.
“There have been conversations, but there is still no agreement.”
De Ligt also starred for Ajax in their Champions League campaign which saw them knock out holders Real Madrid and Juventus and were seconds away from earning a place in the Champions League final, but fell short against Tottenham in the semi-finals.
