The Hammers paid a club record £36million to sign the 26-year-old from Lazio last summer.

It would cost the Liverpool dearly to prise him away from their fellow Premier League club, though, according to reports.

Bleacher Report suggest that Anderson and West Ham have a gentleman’s agreement in place, which would allow him to leave for £75million.
The Hammers were the team to finally bring Anderson to England last summer after a number of years in which he was linked with a Premier League switch.
Manchester United are known to have wanted the Brazilian, and they allegedly tried to sign him from Lazion in 2017.

The deal taking him to Old Trafford was never completed, however.
When the media was linking Anderson with a switch to Man United, the Brazilian was quizzed on signing for the Red Devils – and he admitted his desire to play for them.
“Every player dreams of playing for a team like [Manchester] United,” he told Sport TV. “After my season that was very good in the second year, there has always been a lot of speculation.
“If an opportunity shows up, or when I present myself at Lazio, I have to present myself very well.”
It’s taken a couple of years, but Anderson may finally be heading to the north west of England this summer – though he’ll end up 35 miles away from his ‘dream’ club on the banks of the River Mersey instead.
