Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has raised eyebrows over his insistence on playing N’Golo Kante in a more advanced position to the holding role he’s used to.
It looked like a genius move on the opening weekend of the Premier League season when Kante found himself on the scoresheet as Chelsea raced to a 3-0 win at Huddersfield.

However, Kante has not had the same effect this season as he has previously including in the 2016/17 campaign where he bagged the PFA Player of the Year award.
Sarri has decided Jorginho is the best man for the holding role while Kante plays as a No.6 instead, much to the fury of Blues supporters.

But Monday night saw some slight vindication for Sarri’s questionable tactics as Kante scored during Chelsea’s Premier League match at home to Burnley.
And with that, the Frenchman moved above Mesut Ozil and Dele Alli in the combined goals and assists charts in the league this season.
Kante has eight goals and assists (four goals and four assists), while Arsenal man Ozil has seven and Spurs star Alli also has seven.
It was good night in front of goal for Kante but not a good night for Chelsea as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Burnley and thus missed the chance to rise to third in the Premier League.
