Manchester United news: Red Devils insist Paul Pogba is not for sale at any price amid speculation of a summer move

Manchester United will resist any bids for Paul Pogba amid speculation he could leave the Old Trafford club in the summer.

Pogba, who rejoined the Red Devils from Juventus for a club record £90million in 2016, recently flirted with speculation linking with a move to Real Madrid.

Speaking to the media last week, he said: â€Å“Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.

â€Å“There is also Zidane as a coach and it’s a dream for anybody who likes football. For now, I’m at Manchester.

“We don’t know what the future holds. I’m at Manchester and I’m happy.”

According to the Standard, Red Devils chiefs will not sell their prize asset for any price and are adamant he is going nowhere.

Caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who will reportedly be handed the full-time role this week, sees Pogba as integral to his plans and a new contract is set to be offered to the midfielder.

Pogba has two years left on his current deal and there is an option to extend the contract by a further 12 months.

Last summer, United had to fend off advances from another LaLiga giant, Barcelona, to keep hold of their playmaker.

The 26-year-old had a well documented fall-out with former United boss Jose Mourinho, but has excelled under Solskjaer in the Norweigan’s brief spell in charge.

He has 11 goals and nine assists in 27 Premier League matches this term.

Meanwhile, the Standard claim United will block any moves for Marcus Rashford, with Barcelona a reported admirer of the forward – and are currently in negotiations with the 20-year-old over a contract extension.
