Callum Hudson-Odoi has undergone successful surgery on his ruptured Achilles, the Chelsea winger confirmed.
In a video posted from his hospital bed, the 18-year-old thanked fans for their support and turned his focus towards the ‘road to recovery’.

Hudson-Odoi suffered the injury during the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Burnley on Monday night.
A ruptured Achilles can require up to nine months of recovery – and he is already facing a race against time to be fit for the start of next season.
Hudson-Odoi said: “Hi guys, thank you for all the messages and support that you have been sending me, really appreciate it.
